Stamped Concrete Experts in L.A. County

When it comes to either commercial or residential concrete, there are countless design options. There are so many decorative concrete applications these days that choosing which one suits your project the best can get overwhelming. A very popular and cost-effective way to go is concrete stamping (also referred to as concrete imprinting), which allows you to apply a design or pattern right into freshly laid concrete. These patterns can resemble stone, brick, tile, flagstone or even wood, and give plain old cement a custom, high-end look.

Where is Concrete Stamping Utilized?

Concrete stamping can be implemented onto interior or exterior concrete floors or surfaces. Driveways, swimming pool decks, entryways, outdoor living areas and courtyards are commonly seen with imprinted patterns. You will also see stamped concrete at outdoor venues for concerts, shopping plazas, boardwalks, fairs and theme parks. Often times, these larger establishments will add color to concrete before the stamping process to add even more decorative qualities.

Who to Hire

Concrete stamping is an intricate process and should only be performed by expert concrete contractors who have been in the industry for a number of years. Decorative concrete projects – either residential or commercial – can, and often do, go awry; so be sure to hire a qualified, skilled professional. If you are in the Murrieta, Temecula, Rancho Cucamonga, Moreno Valley and surrounding areas, there’s no company with more know-how when it comes to concrete than Blue Rose Concrete Contractors Inc. for residential projects, and J.C. Concrete when it comes to commercial jobs. If you need a service other than stamping, Blue Rose and J.C. also offer: foundations, sidewalks, site concrete, curbing and a vast array of decorative techniques.

Concrete Repair in Austin

You know what they say about summers in Austin: It’s blazing hot, but it’s a dry heat. Unfortunately, dryness can cause your concrete surface to shrink and then crack, which means you will need to have the damage repaired or run the risk of having someone trip and fall on your property. That’s not a liability anyone can afford these days. So when your driveway, patio, walkway or pool deck gets damaged, call Sundek of Austin for concrete repairs and resurfacing. They are the area leaders when it comes to concrete.

DIY Concrete Repair?

You might be thinking: I could save money and just try to repair my concrete myself. Well, I hate to break it to you, but do-it-yourself concrete repairs are most likely going to cost you more money in the long run; that is unless you already: 1) own a pressure washer, 2) know exactly how to prime cracks and reinforce them with special fabric, 3) are familiar with applying elastomeric basecoats, 4) not scared of grinding machinery, 5) know how to trowel and texture, and 6) are prepared to add concrete sealers. Doesn’t sound so easy, now does it? Why not hire a concrete repair professional in the first place?

When cracks in your concrete have gotten out of control, give Sundek of Austin a call for a zero-obligation estimate. Save yourself the headaches that attempting to do-it-yourself would cause, and get a better looking driveway, patio, or pool deck now. Concrete Flooring Repairs

Contact Perfect Polish for professional concrete repairs at (877) 91-SHINE

Whether or not your existing concrete flooring can be repaired correctly will depend on a number of factors. First, the actual extent of the damage must be assessed. If the entire floor has erupted with dents or low spots, the damage might be secondary to a much larger problem and the cause should be determined immediately. Any damage that shows up overnight should also be investigated. You should never go to sleep one night and wake to find a seven inch gash in the middle of your floor, as this would indicate a serious problem with the foundation.

If the damage is gradual and fairly contained, then repairing the concrete floor should only be a matter of deciding the method that you want to use. If the damage is only in the form of unsightly staining, you can mend the damage by using a skim coat or simply by restaining the floor to hide the blemish. You could also sand the surface to below the level of the stain and then refinish. If the damage is more serious, for instance in the case of spalled concrete, you would have other options to consider, such as using a polymer overcoating; however, if the damage is really bad, you should consider using a new slab on top of the existing one. This is the most expensive and difficult of the options, so it should only be considered as a last resort, especially in a residential setting. Once you bring in a new slab to fit on top of the old one, you will also have to reseat all existing doors and cabinetry as well.

Maintenance will not prevent all forms of damage to your concrete floor; however, much of the staining damage can be prevented by making sure that the sealant is in good condition and reapplied at the directed interval. Make sure that you are not cleaning with harsh abrasives or chemicals so that the floor is not weakened in any way.
