Hi I’m Mark Donaldson creator and developer of this blog as well as the creator of www.concreteideas.com, “The site for decorative concrete” – this blog is an open forum for concrete and specifically decorative concrete. I started in this industry over 10 years ago when it was in its infancy. Everyone thought i was crazy to quit my day job selling valves and fittings, and they were right (kidding) This business has its ups and downs and tough times as well as very profitable times but overall its a great way to go through life and you meet some really great people along the way.
I started a company in 1998 called ‘Skookum’ three years later i branched out and had offices in Canada and the USA.
I ran every job and installed over 1,000,000 square feet of flooring. I learned a lot and feel if i don’t spread my knowledge it will go wasted.
This Blog is designed to use my experience in the concrete world to help answer questions as well as offer any advise that people are willing to take.
